Job Description

Grateful Heart Veterinary Hospital, a state of the art veterinary clinic located in the bustling Eliot neighborhood on North Vancouver Ave, is looking to add a Veterinary Technician Assistant to our team of super stars.

Our Veterinary Technician Assistants are responsible for the following:

• Supports our 3 doctors and Certified Veterinary ­­­­Technicians team to create low stress, positive atmosphere and care for clients and patients.
• Assists in the treatment area, surgery suite and exam rooms with the day-to-day operations.
• Data entry and accurate note taking for patient records.
• Housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Requirements/attributes/skills:

• Must have experience in the veterinarian field with extensive animal/pet handling experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfortable working on a computer is a must.
• Able to lift 40 pounds. Must be phyically flexible and able to bend.
• Must be able to stand for most of a 9 hour shift.
• Excellent communication skills- verbal and written, along with computer knowledge.
• Adaptable to constant change and likes working at a fast pace as part of a team.
• Takes pride in being punctual, dependable and reliable.
• Has upbeat energy, and a positive attitude.
• Looks for ways to contribute and takes initiative.
• Easily takes direction and enjoys learning new skills and/or information.
