The Hotel:

Set amidst flowering cactus and framed against the majestic McDowell Mountains, our Arizona destination resort is surrounded by adventures and miles from the ordinary. Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch features 493 rooms and suites with balconies and terraces offering breathtaking sunsets, mountain, or golf course views. Our property offers a state of the art Spa, 2.5-acre water playground complete with a sand beach and 3-story high-speed waterslide, private golf course, and nightly entertainment.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Starts at $18.50 per hour, (3) 12-hour shifts)

The primary role of a Hyatt Security Officer is to provide for the safety and security of the hotel’s guests and employees. Officers will adhere to established standards in the performance of their duties.

Security Officers shall:

· Enforce rules and policies with respect and professionalism.

· Resolve conflicts with the use of de-escalation techniques.

· Analyze situations accurately and implement an effective course of action.

· Clearly communicate incident details with management.

· Create accurate incident/accident reports as necessary.

· Identify and investigate suspicious behavior and irregular activity.

· Conduct Foot Patrols of designated areas.

· Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.

· Respond to medical emergencies, render aid, and relay information to EMS.

· Utilize CCTV systems for investigations and surveillance.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

· Refined verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.

· Must be able to provide full availability including overnights, weekends, and holidays.

· Proficient in basic computer skills and report writing.

· Customer service experience preferred.

· Valid Driver’s license required.
