Job Description:
The Department of History at Auburn University seeks applications for a tenure-track appointment in the history of sub-Saharan Africa, period and specialization open.
The successful candidate will develop upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of specialty, teach the department's African History courses and contribute to Auburn's core curriculum in world history (in-person instruction). A Ph.D. in History or related field is required at the time employment begins; outstanding candidates who are ABD will be considered but completion of the degree is required prior to the start of the appointment on August 16, 2025.
