Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Strategy to lead our Media Planning and Strategy functions for a prestigious account. In this role, you will inspire and guide a team in developing and executing integrated media plans that align with client objectives. Your strategic mindset, combined with your curiosity and leadership skills, will drive innovative thinking and foster collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the senior lead on client accounts, overseeing all aspects of assigned lines of business.
Define overall strategy and manage the development, implementation, and execution of media plans.
Analyze client briefs to identify key insights and align them with long-term goals.
Design and manage projects and resources effectively.
Maintain deep knowledge of client businesses and the competitive landscape.
Foster strong client relationships as the primary contact for strategy discussions.
Champion the use of best-in-class tools and techniques to achieve client objectives.
Guide the Strategy team in vision, direction, and professional development.
Supervise and mentor staff, managing workloads and performance.
Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
Lead content development for client presentations and participate in cross-departmental projects.
Contribute to new business initiatives and pitches as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
10+ years of media planning experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
Agency experience is highly preferred; experience in entertainment is a plus.
Proven success in presenting media strategies to senior clients and influencing decision-making.
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Nielsen Suite, Kantar, and other relevant software.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to address complex questions diplomatically.
Positive, collaborative attitude with a passion for client success.
Additional Information:
This hybrid position requires working 3 days per week at our temporary Birmingham location, transitioning to our permanent downtown Detroit office when it opens.
