Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Client Billing Specialist, you will be at the heart of our billing operations, ensuring accuracy and smooth collaboration across departments. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily Billing Activities: Manage the billing process, working closely with attorneys and practice assistants to ensure client satisfaction and timely billing.
Complex Billing Processes: Handle intricate billing scenarios, conducting necessary research and making revisions to maintain accuracy.
Invoice Generation & Editing: Produce polished monthly proformas and invoices that meet our high standards.
Accounting System Oversight: Verify rates and billing instructions to ensure accurate setup for client accounts.
Audit & Review: Perform detailed audits of unbilled time and costs, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
Collaboration: Work with various departments to streamline joint billing and ensure a cohesive, efficient process.
E-Billing: Submit and manage electronic invoices, resolve any issues quickly, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare clear, concise reports that present complex data in an understandable format for attorneys and clients.
Training & Support: Assist in training fellow billing specialists, promoting best practices and maintaining high standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency, driving innovation within the team.
What You Bring:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in legal billing and e-billing.
Experience: 3-5 years of legal billing and e-billing experience, with proficiency in third-party vendors.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and familiarity with e-billing software such as 3E and HUB.
Customer Service: A strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to both clients and attorneys.
Attention to Detail: The ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse teams and clients.
Self-Motivation & Adaptability: A strong work ethic, able to work independently while being a supportive team player, and adaptable under pressure.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in special projects and take on additional duties as assigned by the Billing Manager, Accounting Manager, or attorneys.
