Job Description

Nesco Resource is looking to for a Quality Supervisor in Fayetteville, TN.

Job Overview :

The Quality Supervisor will oversee quality control activities within the manufacturing or logistics operation, ensuring that products meet customer specifications and comply with company standards. This position involves managing multiple quality teams, conducting investigations on quality issues, preparing reports, and leading continuous improvement efforts. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and excellence in quality control practices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Team Leadership : Conduct daily and weekly team meetings to ensure clear communication of quality objectives. Manage and provide leadership to four quality departments, overseeing employee operations, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.

  • Quality Auditing : Perform regular audits of rack locations, validate customer images, and oversee removal of order holds for shipping. Manage quality holds for inventory locations and ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Customer Issue Resolution : Investigate customer complaints using 5-Why and Failure Investigation methodologies. Ensure timely resolution and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.

  • Data Reporting & Analysis : Run weekly and daily QA data reports, monitor inventory transactions, and present findings to stakeholders. Utilize AQL metrics to collect and analyze quality data for continuous improvement.

  • Process Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sites, visiting various locations to enhance quality processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and reduce departmental costs.

  • 5S and Safety Management : Maintain department 5S practices and ensure all safety regulations are adhered to within the team.

  • Inventory Control : Manage inventory reports and monitor product transactions. Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate tracking and efficient movement of products.

Qualifications :

  • Experience :
    • 3 years in a quality control or supervisory role, preferably within the logistics or manufacturing industries.
    • Proven experience managing quality teams, conducting investigations, and implementing process improvements.
  • Skills :
    • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
    • Proficiency in quality control methodologies such as 5-Why and AQL metrics.
    • Advanced data analysis and reporting skills using Excel, ERP systems, or other tools.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Education :
    • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.

Preferred Attributes :

  • Knowledge of 5S practices and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience conducting GEMA walks or similar process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations and inventory management systems.
