Your day as a Public Health Director

As the Full-Time Public Health Director for the City of Pharr, you will work under the general guidance of the city manager to shape and execute comprehensive public health programs tailored to community needs and available resources. Your role includes the vital task of securing grant funding to launch innovative health initiatives that directly benefit the Pharr community. You will actively participate in emergency management activities as directed, showcasing your commitment to public safety. In addition, you will serve as the representative of the public health department, engaging with community members and local stakeholders to foster collaboration and support.

• Ability to plan, supervise, and execute a local health program.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and coordinate activities among public, private, and professional groups.
