System One is seeking candidates to be considered for two
Plant Integration Engineer opportunities -
one contract position will be approximately 6 months in duration, additional contract role is projected to conclude after 12 months.
The Plant Integration Engineer – Steam and Power System integration, supports the integration, oversight, and coordination of Energy Island steam, power, and auxiliary systems. In this role, you will support, and report to our client's Plant Design Oversight Manager and support the design and integration of our partner’s design of Energy Island Systems, Structures, and Components.
The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative design support and oversight for a wide range of power cycle and auxiliary systems. Support and oversight includes cross functional and inter-disciplinary integration, and review of deliverables for technical accuracy. The system integration engineer will work as part of a high performing team of engineers.
Responsibilities: - Provides integration and oversight to geographically diverse team members to develop energy island system deliverables.
- Support development of steam, power, and auxiliary system components in the plant 3D model for systems for which candidate has oversight responsibility.
- Works closely with C lient partners or Architect/Engineer firm(s) to establish and control interfaces to interfacing systems and structures.
- Supports interface with other plant design departments, including plant 3D model development and plant integrated analysis.
Key Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in nuclear power plant or commercial power plant design or modifications, with emphasis on systems and equipment for power generation.
- The successful candidate will display leadership skills by proactively driving cross functional design collaboration and integration of Energy Island systems, structures, and components.
- The candidate must be team oriented, and able to work effectively with geographically distributed and possibly international design team members.
- Candidate should have broad based technical and engineering skills in addition to experience leading an integrated cross functional design team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey critical design integration information to senior management, the engineering team, customers, etc.
- Ability to work in a conceptual design and first of a kind (FOAK) environment that requires the ability to use good engineering judgement and identify needed design progress to achieve key project objectives.
- Experience working to quality standards on design activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, able to communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
