Overview:
As a key first point of contact, the Medical Intake/Data Entry professional plays an essential role in supporting the Utilization Review Department. In this position, you will collect intake information, create electronic patient files, and assist with the sorting and mailing of certification letters.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer the Utilization Review line and direct calls to the appropriate team member, including retrieving voicemail messages for the nursing staff.
Collect demographic information to create and maintain patient files.
Print, mail, fax, and copy correspondence as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Hybrid Schedule: After successful completion of training, you can work remotely two days a week. You'll need to be in the office five days a week during the training period.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Courses in computers, medical terminology, data entry, word processing, and secretarial training are preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in computers and data entry within databases. Familiarity with word processing and multi-line telephone systems is also beneficial. Bilingual candidates are welcome but not required.
Experience: A minimum of one year of professional office experience is necessary, with prior experience in a healthcare environment being preferred.
Personal Qualifications: A friendly and helpful telephone demeanor, the ability to proofread written materials accurately, and strong data entry skills. You should be able to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks as directed by the assigned URA Team Leader. Strong customer service understanding is essential.
