Legal Administrative Workflow Coordinator
Location: Washington, DC (Accessible via Orange, Blue, and Red Lines)
Join our team as a Legal Administrative Workflow Coordinator! This newly created position is an exciting opportunity to coordinate workflow for our practice group secretaries.
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:15 PM (36.25-hour work week)
Hybrid Model:
During your initial 90-day training period, you will work onsite five days a week.
After training, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule with three days in the office and two days remote.

As one of DC's premier law firms, we are seeking a Legal Administrative Workflow Coordinator with a strong background in legal secretarial work and experience coordinating workflow among legal secretaries.
Key Responsibilities:
Workflow Coordination: You will play a vital role in our Legal Administrative Services Department by coordinating the workflow of our Legal Assistants to ensure high-quality service delivery and responsiveness to attorney and client needs.
Schedule Management: Oversee the Legal Assistant schedule and arrange for appropriate coverage during planned and unexpected absences, while offering strategies for staffing challenges.
Team Engagement: Build trust and positive relationships within the secretarial team through daily interactions and open communication.
Workload Monitoring: Continuously evaluate and analyze the workload of team members to ensure balanced contributions and timely completion of deadlines.
Recruitment Support: Collaborate with the Legal Administrative Services Manager in the hiring process, from recruitment to interviewing and making recommendations.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with the Legal Administrative Services Manager and the Director of Administration on ad hoc projects to enhance service delivery and implement new systems and processes.
Skills Development: Identify and coordinate training opportunities for team members, facilitating their professional growth and ensuring they meet attorney needs.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess work quality and productivity, alerting the Legal Administrative Services Manager to any concerns.
Onboarding Support: Help develop onboarding schedules for new hires, oversee their integration, and participate in orientation and mentoring activities.
Professional Development: Assist in identifying training programs for the department and individual team members to foster exceptional service delivery.
Feedback Provision: Share insights with the Legal Administrative Services Manager and Directors of Administration regarding individual performance.
Team Meetings: Coordinate and lead team meetings to enhance engagement and collaboration among team members.
Direct Support: Balance workflow management while providing Legal Executive Assistant-level support to attorneys and assisting with overflow secretarial tasks as needed.
Orientation for New Attorneys: Offer guidance and support to new attorneys, reinforcing established protocols.
Position Requirements:
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team with fairness and impartiality, demonstrating a strong service orientation and collaborative approach to administrative support.
Experience:
5+ years of legal secretarial experience in a law firm or professional services environment, performing complex administrative tasks and projects.
Previous experience in a coordinator, leadership, or supervisory role within a secretarial team in a law firm or professional services environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
