Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Leasing Agent to join our residential property team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for showcasing available apartments to prospective tenants, handling leasing processes, and ensuring high occupancy rates within the property. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong sales abilities, and a passion for real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Tours: Conduct property tours and highlight the features and benefits of the apartments and community amenities to prospective tenants.
  • Leasing Process: Manage the entire leasing process, including application completion, lease negotiations, and signing, while ensuring compliance with all company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and current tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Marketing: Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials, including online listings, social media posts, and flyers to attract potential tenants.
  • Tenant Screening: Conduct thorough background checks and screening of prospective tenants to ensure they meet all criteria set by the property management.
  • Move-Ins and Move-Outs: Coordinate and manage tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth transition for tenants and timely turnover of units.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leasing activities, tenant interactions, and rental agreements.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about local market trends, competitor properties, and rental rates to ensure competitive pricing and high occupancy rates.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a positive community atmosphere by organizing and participating in resident events and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in property leasing, real estate, or sales is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in real estate, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in using property management software  Rent Manager and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Licenses: Real estate license is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: Full-time position with occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Environment: Work is performed in a typical office environment and on-site at residential properties.
