Join our dedicated team at Community Access Services as a Job Coach and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Job Coach, you'll provide compassionate support, helping individuals with IDD achieve greater independence, build relationships, and actively participate in their communities.
Key Responsibilities: - Act as an employment specialist providing individual support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their workplaces.
- Utilize employment specialist skills to facilitate learning and job maintenance through worksite monitoring, routine employer meetings, and problem-solving for job accommodations and training.
- Coordinate with individuals, their families, or residential/supported living providers to ensure necessary support for timely arrivals, appropriate attire, and work-related items such as lunch and snacks.
- Serve as an advocate in the workplace, supporting individuals in developing positive work relationships.
- Ensure all outlined individualized support plan (ISP) supports are applied and all required training for this position is completed.
- Communicate any issues to the Support Employment Manager when appropriate.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in Job Coaching or a related field is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
