Position Brief:

• Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate English language support across all subjects.
  
• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom where students feel safe and empowered to learn.
  
• Establish and maintain behavioral guidelines that promote a productive learning atmosphere.
  
• Assess student development regularly and adjust instruction to ensure continuous language improvement.
  
• Design and deliver lessons aligned with school and state standards to support ELL students in their language acquisition.
  
• Provide personalized lessons to meet the specific needs of English Language Learner (ELL) students in one-on-one and small group settings.
  

Requirements

A valid Illinois PEL with an ESL endorsement is required. Proven experience as an ESL Teacher or similar role. Experience working with students from diverse language backgrounds. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a Master’s degree in TESOL, or a related discipline is a plus.
