RESPONSIBILITIES - Directs and manages work in a manner that achieves project requirements for safety, quality, engineering, schedule, construction, and cost management.
- Ensure adherence to the project and corporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and support a safe working environment.
- Take necessary corrective action to align project back on track in case of deviations from plans (cost, schedule, quality, HSE, performance, operability, maintainability, etc.).
- Responsible for implementation of the scope of work as related to construction/ fabrication, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of the facilities in conformance with project specifications, Scope of Work, and in accordance with the Project Schedule.
- Monitor day to day activities through weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress meetings, Subcontractors and Vendors to facilitate achievement of targets. Slippages and backlogs shall be identified, and action plans formulated to keep the project on schedule.
- Identify project risks and recommend ways to mitigate them.
- Provide technical and commercial inputs and review contract/tendering documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements; participate and direct the preliminary planning stages as necessary.
- Participate in preparation of Construction related workshops, Method statements, Risk Assessments and HSE Workshops.
- Execute the project in line with the delivery schedule, contract specifications and conditions.
- Promote an environment for building team morale and build consent within the team
QUALIFICATIONS All levels of the experience needed.
Local candidates strongly preferred. However assistance (housing, per diem) may be available for qualified candidates
Preference for experience managing union contractors.
Preference for experience in industrial facilities projects, particularly on brownfield power plant sites.
Preference for experience with grey market equipment.
