Penny Coffee Roasters in Glendora, CA is looking for one coffee roasting manager to join our team. We are located on 905 E Arrow Hwy. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Coffee Roasting Manager to lead our roasting operations and oversee wholesale account management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of coffee roasting techniques, a refined palate, and strong leadership skills. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the roasting process, from green bean sourcing to the final roasted product, as well as cultivating and managing relationships with wholesale accounts.

Responsibilities:

Roasting Operations:

• Manage daily roasting operations, ensuring consistency and quality in every batch.
• Develop and refine roast profiles to optimize flavor and aroma.
• Monitor and maintain roasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to source high-quality green coffee beans.

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular quality control assessments, including cupping and sensory analysis.
• Implement strict quality control standards to maintain product consistency.
• Identify and address quality issues promptly.

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of roasters, providing training and development opportunities.
• Create a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Manage team schedules and ensure efficient workflow.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory control for both green and roasted coffee.
• Forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.

Wholesale Account Management:

• Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with potential and existing wholesale accounts.
• Provide excellent customer service, including timely order fulfillment and addressing customer inquiries.
