Mirak Automotive Group has been family owned and operated in Arlington, Massachusetts since 1936. We are looking for an experienced Parts Counterperson to join our Parts and service team! We stock and sell parts for Chevrolet, Hyundai and Genesis. At Mirak Automotive Group, we invest in our employees and provide you with the resources and support to grow your career. • Assists all customers (retail, collision, and mechanical shops) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials.
• Answers sales calls, providing price quotes and replacement part information.
• Reviews estimates to ensure the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Locate and fill orders from stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Sources out-of-stock parts from outside vendors.
• Notifies the service & collision advisors when special ordered parts have are received.
• Pulls orders for delivery to the body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
• Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
• Keeps work areas uncluttered.
• Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
• Other tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Computer proficient
• Excellent customer service skills
• Dealer Track DMS experience a plus
• Hyundai/GM experience a plus
• Enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Consistent work history
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Professional appearance and work ethic
