Job Title: AccessionerJob Description As an Accessioner at the LabCorp Halsey Laboratory in Portland, OR, you will handle all specimens and lab samples safely and efficiently. You will review specimen packages for complete information and route/deliver specimens to the appropriate destinations within the lab. Your tasks will include scanning in or manually entering specimen and patient information into LabCorp's internal system, sorting samples into specific bins based on category and/or lab code, and maintaining an inclusive environment. You will also contribute to building a culture of care, engagement, and recognition. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon. Work Environment You will work in a very large diagnostic lab space, which serves as the central lab for all LabCorp patient samples in Oregon and SW Washington. The environment is fast-paced and high-throughput. The busiest shifts are at night, as samples need to be processed within a 24-48 hour window. Multiple shifts are available, with varying hours and pay rates. LabCorp contracts are initially slated for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
